If a female is smaller and more compact does it make it harder on her to have the pups. Or does it make it harder on her to have a larger litter of pups?

smaller dog will more likely have more complications when it comes to these bullys. Most likely will have to do a ce-section.

My female isn't real small she had 10 pups. The 1st 4 are healthy but the last 6 were still born and it took her forever to have them. Here's a picture of the mom and dad. The dad is the white headed on and the side shot is old.
