Your question was: "SOOO.... WHAT IS THE DEAL WITH OUTCROSSING!? GOOD BAD? " This is just my opinion: I think it all depends on what you wanna do. If you wanna perserve and keep one specific blood pure and flowing, then you dont wanna do an out cross breeding; however, if your looking to see what mixes well with the blood, the pure blood you have, or if you think two different blood match up, or even if u think two dogs with different blood and characteristics would match up nicely, then outcrossing is the way to go. For example, ever one knows that NTK goes good with NTK blood, gottiline blood, or original greyline blood cause at the end of the day its all greyline (For example NTK Rolex is a prime example of how good NTK blood clicks with NTK blood and Westcoast Gottilines Sexy Lexy is an example of NTK Blood meeting Gottline), but the breeding between Monster G (NTK greyline) X Rayna (Razors Edge blood) took breeding to a whole nother level. That breeding was one of the first of its kind and played a big part in elevating both bloodlines. That breeding and its outcome is one reason why alot people want to do outcross breedings. It clicked so well and produce alot of heavy hitters that included: Duece, Blow, Madusa, Cookie, Deejay, Illusion, and Monster Baby (i may have left one off)! At the end of the day, whether its good or not is up to you, but not all outcross breedings are gonna come out like Monster G X Rayna and even when you breed to the same blood theres no telling how the pups will come on out!

I agree with ya Larry. Also me personally I feel that when u have a lot of the same blood in your yard sometimes you might want to loosen it up with an outcross. For example, kennels that have strictly edge on their yard, I recommend them to grab some tightly bred NTK pup because when its time to outcross, that NTK will gaurantee you some chest and body which I feel some edge bloodlines lack. I personally feel the majority of edge dogs throw short dogs with short back and dome. Not saying that there isn't an edge dog out there without chest and body. Im saying that when you want to do an outcross its best to outcross that edge dog with a tightly bred New Troijan blood dog which gives you a dog with the total package (Dome, chest, body, short back, and a nice structure). Now that a true APBT. hahaha
but, aren't we preserveing the bully! KAOS HAS SOME OF THE BEST RAZORS EDGE BLOOD EVER! COMING BACK TOO ROLEX AND MONSTER G. AND RAYNA!!!! WITH SAVAGE!!! MONSTER G BLOOD CROSSES WITH RAZORS EDGE AND MAKES FIRE! RIGHT?
Well preserving the bully stye is another story. we basically explained and gave you are opinion on outcross and/or preserving one bloodline. now when it comes to preserving the bully style you gotta ask urself what do u really want to preserve: the bully style and look or the blood? For example, if your yard is filled with one bloodline you can preserve the bully style by doing outcross breedings and possibly enhance and improvinh the bully style or you can just continue breeding to that blood by doing line breedings. However, if your yard is full of NTK blood and you wanna preserve that blood, you wouldnt wanna do an outcross breeding with anther bloodline cause its not the same.
